Who's Your Mama?

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie."

Betty's Mother's Day was spent amidst carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, mimosas served by the GOAT, just-popped irises, and the family who loves her. One of these family members was dressed as Woody the cowboy from Toy Story for the entire afternoon, making our celebration of  Betty even better.

Who's my Mama?

When I was digging around in one of our boxes of family photographs for these pictures, this conversation ensued between Betty and I:

B: What are you doing? Can I help?
L: I'm looking for pictures for my blog.
B: In there? Oh no. Do I get to approve them before they go on?
L: I guess...
(Betty reviews photographs)
B: Okay, but crop out the beer behind me. That's tacky, and let me fix your belt, it's crooked.
(Betty proceeds to adjust the belt on my shorts like you would for a small child who cannot dress themselves)
L: I'm only letting you do this because it's Mother's Day, otherwise, I'd be yelling at you.
B: Oh, I know.

Happy Mother's Day, Betty! I love you and, no, I'm not cropping out your beer.

  2. Ha ha ha. The photo wouldn't have been the same without the beer.
