How did I come across this new art form that I intend on decorating many walls of my home with? Doing research for this upcoming weekend chock-full of craft fairs, that's how.
Where are we going?
Sugarloaf Crafts Festival -- Somerset, NJ, March 13-15
If you join their mailing list, you can save $3 off the general admission price. Of course, I joined. When I browsed the exhibitor list by name, I came across Susan Loy and her lovely Literary Calligraphy. If you love words, watercolor, and all things delightful and pretty, check her out. There is Literary Calligraphy from Hamlet, Midsummer Night's Dream, she even has an alphabet book. My personal favorites:
Cherry Education Print: Education is Treasure.
August Birth Flower Print: The Poppy (For obvious reasons...)
I'm very excited for the Sugar Loaf Crafts Festival this weekend. I don't believe that my bank account is as excited as I am, though. Especially after yesterday's impromptu area rug purchase.
I'll leave you with the opening lines of "Desiderata":
"Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence."
Hoping your day is hasteless and peaceful,
-L
